Iranians vote morebetterer than US
US voter turnout was the highest in 40 years in ‘08 w/ a turnout of 61%. The previous Irianian election reported about the same, but Iran’s 10th presidential election on Friday, a record 85% turnout.
Even in an ellection that is mostly for show, becuase the Supreme leader - Ali Khamenei - is the actual guy in charge, Iranian voters put on a more democratic showing than the US ever has.
It must help that 75% of the Iranian population under the age of 30.
