The supreme court nailed it today
Overturned 2nd circut - Ricci vs DeStaphano - which overturned Sotomyers previous ruling (sided w/ white firefighters) - citing that it violates, title 7, the civil rights act
Also said 911 vicitims can’t sue Saudia Arabia for funding the 911 acts - you can sue foreign entities!

So I honestly do not fully understand the numbers, do what you will with them…
employment numbers are gathered using an archaic system that polls a variety of employeers and asks them if they are hirng or firing. What likely should be used as a more accurate real time indicator is the income tax payed every month rather than polling random companyies.

Rebulican Jeff Flake tried his best tonight on C-Span to remove several earmarks from the 65 Billion dolloar spending bill. Don’t know much about Flake, but he called out some good ones. Democrats out voted him on all this amendments to remove the earmarks, they all thanked him for his fiscial responsibility, but not for their earmarks.

OK so you can’t buy the votes outright, but it is legal to pay for transporation to the election. This means a party can pay for someone’s flight into the country, give them some spending money, thus buying their vote (makes sense for poor people paying for a bus ride but not a $2,000 flight from overseas).

Iranians vote morebetterer than US
US voter turnout was the highest in 40 years in ‘08 w/ a turnout of 61%. The previous Irianian election reported about the same, but Iran’s 10th presidential election on Friday, a record 85% turnout.
Even in an ellection that is mostly for show, becuase the Supreme leader - Ali Khamenei - is the actual guy in charge, Iranian voters put on a more democratic showing than the US ever...

The US lost 345,000 job last month! Yay! Yes that’s actually better news, after a revised 504,000 loss in April, reported by the Labor Department.
The continued bad news is that the overall unemployment rate increased to 9.4 percent, the highest in the lifetime of anyone younger than 27 years old.
2nd Amendment doesn't apply in Chicago
A Chicago ordinance banning handguns and automatic weapons within city limits was upheld by a U.S. Court of Appeals. Next stop supreme court.
The law took effect in 1982 but doesn’t apply to ex-military or law enforcement.
