The death penalty is barbaric and stupid
Never mind the ethical problems with it, table that discussion and think about how broke the government as a whole is.  Due to legal appeals and the fact that “death row” inmates somehow cost more than the rest of the population, it cost Maryland $186 MILLION to execute five prisoners. The average annual cost per federal inmate was around 23k a year.  Do the math, don’t punish...
